Sony launched two new devices to their Extra Bass Bluetooth category called the SRS-XB32 and SRS-XB22. Described as ‘high power portable speakers’, the devices are said to deliver deep and punchy bass that has become the hallmark of the Extra Bass lineup.
The first one is called the SRS-XB22 and is priced at Rs 7,490. As with all current extra Bass portable speakers, the SRS-XB22 is rated at IP67 waterproof as well as dustproof. Carrying over a familiar design from previous models, the SRS-XB22 has party lights that can be activated while playing music. Users can also use the Fiestable app and Sony Music Center app to select favourite playlists, cue the next song, change lighting patterns and sound modes.
The SRS-XB22 also comes with support for built-in voice assistants for both Android and iOS devices, which mean one can access either Google Assistant or Siri via the speaker. Sony promises a maximum battery life of up to 12 hours on a single charge. The speaker has massive passive radiators to enhance the bass effect.
Sony has also launched the SRS-XB32 which is priced at Rs 10,990. This is basically a bigger version of the SRS-XB22 and has some additional features. The XB32 has multi-colour line LED lights that can be customised with unique patterns with the proprietary apps. This one also has two strobe lights to add to the party effect.XB32 promises a longer battery life of up to 24 hours in a single charge.
